Our client is an established luxury design brand known for exceptional craftsmanship, distinctive design, and highly customized products. With a strong foundation in the U.K. and growing presence in the United States, the organization is seeking a Director of Sales to take ownership of its continued U.S. expansion.

This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished sales professional to have a direct impact on the next stage of a growing business. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic vision, hands-on business development, industry relationships, and entrepreneurial drive.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and grow U.S. sales while developing and executing a clear strategy for revenue growth, market expansion, and future sales development.
• Assess the current sales structure and recommend opportunities involving direct sales, partner showrooms, independent representatives, staffing, and market coverage.
• Build and maintain relationships with interior designers, architects, specifiers, showrooms, and other key trade professionals while developing new business and project opportunities.
• Expand the brand's presence in underserved markets by identifying key designers, firms, showrooms, representatives, and strategic opportunities.
• Strengthen existing partner showroom relationships through regular visits, presentations, training, and brand education while identifying potential new partnerships.
• Develop strategic travel and business development plans, including client meetings, market visits, trade shows, networking, designer events, and other opportunities that drive awareness and sales.
• Manage and expand the CRM and database of designers, architects, specifiers, prospects, and clients while tracking pipeline activity, leads, conversions, and revenue.
• Advise clients on residential and bespoke opportunities while communicating the value of the brand's craftsmanship, materials, customization, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Collaborate with the New York showroom and UK-based teams while becoming deeply familiar with the company's products, manufacturing process, and brand story.
• Build and lead a scalable U.S. sales organization by identifying future hiring needs and recruiting, training, and managing sales representatives as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally within luxury furniture, lighting, fabrics, wallpapers, home furnishings, interior design, architecture, or another design-led industry.
• Proven sales success with an established network of interior designers, architects, design firms, showrooms, representatives, or other relevant trade professionals strongly preferred.
• Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable working independently in an evolving organization.
• Strategic thinker who can assess market opportunities, identify gaps, develop actionable plans, and execute without significant day-to-day direction.
• Strong CRM and business development skills with the ability to manage relationships, leads, pipeline, and long-term opportunities.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with an authentic, straightforward approach and the ability to communicate
• Passion for thoughtful design, craftsmanship, materials, customization, and quality, with the ability to communicate the story and value behind the product.
• Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on sales, creative problem-solving, extensive U.S. travel, and occasional evening industry events.
