HR Generalist (i.e. ADP, payroll)

The HR Generalist/People Operations will be passionate about working with people and learning the business. This is a hands-on role where you will focus on talent acquisition and retention, payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, coaching, risk management and compliance. What am I responsible for? Administer and assist in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. Responsible for a variety of human resources programs and policies, often encompassing several areas of human resources: payroll and benefits administration, talent acquisition, employee relations, recruiting, safety, or personnel. Accurately handles all new hire administration, wage administration, and HRIS processing (to include personal information changes, employee verifications, court-ordered garnishments, W-4 changes, promotions, increases, payroll processing and terminations. Conducts on-boarding of new team members. Verifies 1-9 documentation/maintenance and completes E-Verify verification. Process bi-weekly payroll through ADP for 100+ employees Organizing and maintaining personnel files, confidential files, training files and I-9 files in compliance with applicable legal requirements; maintaining all mandatory postings on required bulletin boards in compliance with all federal and local labor and employment laws. Responsible for current and accurate information records for all employees which includes administrative data associated with new employment, compensation, layoff/recalls and termination. Must be familiar with company policies and government regulations as they relate to benefits, payroll and personnel. Act professionally towards customers, vendors and visitors. • Associate degree or higher preferred with 4 + years of relevant experience. Certification in HR a plus.
• 3+ years working within Manufacturing and E Commerce Environments
• 2+ years of beauty or personal care industry experience a plus.
• Technology driven with both an understanding and desire to use technology to increase efficiency
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Docs and Google Sheets, Slack, ADP
• Be a key driver of teamwork and a positive culture within the organization.

Preferred experience: 10+ years of relevant HR experience preferred. Certification in HR is a plus. Bachelor's degree or higher preferred. Experience working within manufacturing environments or beauty and cosmetics industries is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Docs and Google Sheets, Slack, ADP, Ease, and other HRIS systems.
