Now Hiring: Accounting Manager, Oil & Gas Sector

Dallas, TX • In Person Role at Company Headquarters • Full-Time

A well-established company in the energy industry is expanding its accounting leadership team in Dallas. We're looking for someone who can step in, take ownership of the day-to-day accounting function, and serve as a reliable partner to senior leadership on the financial questions that shape the business. This is a role for someone who leads well, sweats the details, and knows how to turn financial data into insight leadership can act on.

The Role

Team & Day-to-Day Operations

– Own the daily operations of the accounting department

– Lead, coach, and develop a team of accountants and accounting assistants

– Work directly with staff to identify and resolve accounting issues as they come up

– Keep cash management processes and accounting systems running smoothly

Reporting & Compliance

– Prepare and review monthly financials across multiple entities and properties

– Compile supporting data and analysis for public reporting

– Coordinate federal, state, withholding, and franchise tax filings with outside tax advisors

– Act as the main point of contact for external accounting and tax firms

– Keep accounting policies and procedures current and well documented

– Provide financial analysis that feeds directly into executive decision-making

– Pitch in on other accounting projects as priorities shift

What We're Looking For

▪ Bachelor's or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field

▪ Five to ten years of progressive accounting experience

▪ Three to five years managing people and processes

▪ Background in oil and gas accounting is strongly preferred

▪ Comfortable working in Microsoft Office day to day

▪ Strong attention to detail paired with solid analytical instincts

▪ Clear communicator who stays organized under deadline pressure

▪ A collaborative, can-do attitude

▪ CPA and multi-entity accounting experience are a plus

▪ Working familiarity with GAAP and public reporting standards is a plus
