Registered Nurse (RN) - Days and Nights

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: Days and Nights

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse will direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on professional nursing standards, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. This role supports age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in patient care and is dedicated to the organization's mission. The RN will conduct initial assessments and re-assess every 24 hours.

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process.
• Conduct initial assessments and re-assess patients every 24 hours.
• Coordinate nursing care based on accepted practice standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
• Administer treatments and medications as prescribed.
• Provide patient and family education and support.
• Manage behavioral health situations and apply therapeutic communication techniques.

• Must have completed a nursing program from an NLN approved institution.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Must hold a valid RN license in good standing in the State of Alaska.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must complete Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training.
