HR Coordinator

Thompson Law, a nationally growing personal injury firm based in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas, seeks a HR Generalist to join the team! Are you an HR Coordinator who's ready for more responsibility? This position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make the transition into an HR Generalist role. We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented HR professional who is eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term career while gaining hands-on experience across all facets of Human Resources. As the HR Generalist, you support the Firm as a key contact for many different aspects within the Human Resources department. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with regularly updating recruitment spreadsheets for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. Conducts background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Conducts new hire orientation and facilitates onboarding and offboarding. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale. Assist with posting jobs across various platforms. Support HR Director with employee relations and other HR initiatives. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; review policies regularly for adherence. Additional responsibilities will continue to evolve with the growth of the position. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years’ HR Coordinator experience in a professional or administrative role HRIS experience High school diploma or GED Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong commitment to upholding firm philosophy and mission Preferred Qualifications (not required): Bachelor’s Degree One year of experience in Personal Injury law Generous benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance.
