ABOUT OUR CLIENT Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support accurate and timely payroll operations in a construction environment. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys digging into the details, identifying discrepancies, asking the right questions, and taking ownership of accurate payroll and timekeeping. ABOUT THE ROLE The Payroll Clerk works closely with employees and managers to ensure employee time is accurately recorded, allocated to the appropriate jobs, and processed correctly through Keystyle. This role goes beyond simply entering timesheet information. The Payroll Clerk will review hours for accuracy, identify inconsistencies, follow up on missing or questionable information, and help ensure payroll is correct before processing. The position also supports construction-specific payroll requirements, including prevailing wage, weighted average, and certified payroll, as well as general HR activities. This is a non-exempt, full-time position reporting to the HR / Payroll Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor employee timekeeping to ensure hours are submitted accurately and on time Follow up with employees and managers regarding missing, incomplete, or questionable time entries Review employee hours for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate job allocation Ensure labor hours are allocated to the correct jobs, departments, or cost centers Review payroll data for unusual or inconsistent entries and investigate discrepancies before payroll is processed Prepare payroll for processing accurately and on schedule Review payroll timesheets in Keystyle and reconcile discrepancies prior to processing Assist with payroll adjustments, corrections, deductions, and other payroll-related items Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation Work directly with management and employees to resolve payroll and timekeeping questions Provide support with general HR activities as needed Work closely with the Project Management and Finance/Accounting teams Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions #J-18808-Ljbffr Search Services
