We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Personnel to support and oversee daily operations within our small trucking company. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with McLeod Software and a strong understanding of transportation workflows, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and on-time performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily trucking operations, including dispatch, routing, and scheduling
- Utilize McLeod Software to manage loads, track shipments, and maintain operational data
- Monitor driver performance, load status, and delivery timelines
- Communicate with drivers, brokers, and customers to ensure smooth operations
- Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
- Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, logs, and operational reports
- Collaborate with management to improve processes and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Experience in trucking or transportation operations required preferably a smaller company
- Proficiency with McLeod Software is required
- Strong understanding of daily operations in a trucking environment
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Dispatching experience
- Familiarity with load planning and route optimization
- Experience working directly with drivers and fleet management
