Job Description Summary JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way. We are seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across all systems, including electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, water systems, and emergency generators. Responsibilities Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical controls, single and three phase motors, buses, lighting, battery chargers, fans, compressors, pumps, switches, motor controls, transformers, substation equipment, HVAC equipment, PLCs, and distribution systems ranging from 120V to 480V. Perform preventive maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment such as generators, exhaust fans, air conditioning equipment, boilers, water heaters, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, motors, dock doors, and dock plates/levelers. Assist other mechanics and electricians with repairs and maintenance of plumbing, piping, interior/exterior painting, line striping, welding, snaking drains, and dock equipment. Analyze the operation of various systems, determine causes of problems or malfunctions, and take corrective action. Assist with the installation, repair, and wiring of plumbing, motors, conduits, and machinery. Install and rebuild pumps, motors, air compressors, heat exchangers, bearings, seals, piping, valves, filters, and hot water systems. Monitor operation, repair, and maintain refrigeration, water cooling, air conditioning equipment, boilers, heating, venting, pumps, valves, piping, and filters, and record readings as needed. Comply with departmental policy for safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials and maintain a clean workplace. Qualifications Licensed Journeyman Electrician (ideal). Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. High School diploma or GED. Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC. Current CFC or EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification preferred.; Flexible and willing to work varying shifts as needed. Experience beyond construction style electrical work (e.g., troubleshooting VFDs, building automation devices like damper actuators, valve actuators, and sensors). Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel. This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
