Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide acute emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment, addressing diverse patient needs across all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations. Ensure high-quality patient assessments, interventions, and documentation to support optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly upon arrival and prioritize care accordingly.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions aligned with physician orders and established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document clinical observations, treatments, and patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and escalate concerns as necessary.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and complete all required certifications and licensure requirements.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent ED experience, including pediatric cases.
• Hold current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
• Maintain an active New York RN license and all required licensure.
• Demonstrate experience with EMR systems, preferably EPIC.
• Possess a valid driver's license with a matching address, if applicable.
• Be willing to work variable shifts, including nights and floating to different units.
