We are currently seeking a Managing Director, Transition Management Executive to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Position Overview

NTT DATA is seeking a highly experienced  Managing Director, Transition Management Executive to lead the onboarding, transition, and operational readiness phases of our largest and most complex technology services engagements.

This executive will serve as the single point of integration across multiple delivery towers, ensuring infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, digital workplace, enterprise applications, business process services, data, and managed services teams operate through a unified transition strategy and execution plan.

Working in close partnership with Integrated Delivery Leaders, Enterprise Architects, Organizational Change Management (OCM) leaders, and client executives, this individual will establish a "One NTT DATA" view of transition delivery, providing governance, transparency, risk management, and executive-level communication throughout the engagement lifecycle.

This role combines strategic leadership, enterprise program governance, operational execution, and client-facing engagement to ensure successful transitions from contract signing through steady-state operations.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Transition Leadership

• Lead transition strategy and execution for large-scale, multi-tower IT services engagements.
• Establish and maintain a single integrated transition roadmap across all delivery workstreams.
• Drive program governance, milestone management, resource planning, and KPI tracking.
• Provide executive leadership throughout transition, transformation, and onboarding phases.

Integrated Program Management

• Consolidate individual plans from infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, digital workplace, application, data, and business process services teams into a comprehensive master program plan.
• Create visibility into cross-functional dependencies, critical path activities, and resource requirements.
• Ensure alignment between transition deliverables and business objectives.
• Manage enterprise-wide transition timelines and readiness assessments.

Architecture and Business Readiness Alignment

• Partner closely with Enterprise Architects to align technical deployment sequencing with the approved solution architecture.
• Collaborate with Organizational Change Management teams to ensure business adoption and user readiness plans support transition objectives.
• Validate that organizational readiness activities align with technical implementation milestones.

Executive Governance and Stakeholder Management

• Act as a trusted advisor to client executives and internal leadership teams.
• Facilitate executive steering committees and governance forums.
• Present transition status, risks, mitigation plans, and readiness updates to C-suite stakeholders.
• Translate complex technical concepts into meaningful business outcomes and executive messaging.

Risk and Dependency Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate transition risks across multiple delivery towers.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and interdependent workstream challenges.
• Establish proactive escalation mechanisms and corrective action plans.
• Ensure transition execution remains aligned to contractual commitments, financial objectives, and delivery milestones.

Sales and Pursuit Support

• Support strategic pursuits and major deal cycles by contributing transition and mobilization strategies.
• Participate in client presentations, workshops, and solution reviews.
• Strengthen pursuit credibility by demonstrating operational readiness and delivery governance capabilities.
• Partner with sales, solutioning, and delivery teams to develop transition management approaches for complex engagements.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent executive-level education preferred.

Experience

• 15+ years of experience leading large-scale enterprise IT services programs, transitions, or transformation initiatives.
• Proven success managing multi-million-dollar, multi-tower technology engagements.
• Experience integrating diverse delivery functions into a single enterprise transition plan.
• Demonstrated success working alongside senior account leaders, architects, delivery executives, and client stakeholders.
• Experience supporting strategic pursuits, large deal transitions, and complex service transformations.

• Enterprise Architecture certifications (TOGAF or equivalent)
• Cloud certifications from major hyperscalers preferred

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role is $150,000 - $350,000 per year. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
