Strong operations depend on people, processes, and priorities working together. We're looking for an Operations Manager in Washington, DC to oversee day-to-day business activities, coordinate team workflows, and help ensure that operational goals are met efficiently and consistently.

This role is suited to someone who can see the bigger picture while keeping track of the details. You'll work across different functions, monitor performance, resolve operational challenges, and identify practical ways to improve how work gets done.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities and coordinate priorities across teams
• Establish and maintain procedures that support consistent workflows
• Monitor operational performance, review reports, and track key performance indicators
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to existing processes
• Coordinate resources, schedules, and workloads to support business objectives
• Work with department leads to address operational issues and remove bottlenecks
• Maintain accurate operational records, trackers, and performance documentation
• Review progress against deadlines, targets, and agreed objectives
• Support the planning and implementation of operational projects
• Communicate process updates and expectations to relevant team members
• Help ensure internal procedures and business requirements are followed
• Prepare operational updates and recommendations for management review

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is organized, decisive, analytical, and comfortable taking ownership of operational priorities.

You'll need:

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Clear written and verbal communication
• The ability to coordinate multiple tasks and competing deadlines
• Confidence reviewing reports, identifying trends, and tracking performance
• Good judgment when resolving day-to-day operational issues
• The ability to collaborate across departments and support team accountability
• Proficiency with standard office software and spreadsheets
• A practical approach to process improvement and decision-making

Previous experience in operations, business administration, project coordination, logistics, or team management is valuable. Experience supervising staff, managing workflows, or monitoring operational performance is an advantage.
