Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of new patients as referred by physicians, assessing their needs and developing effective treatment protocols.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate specific therapeutic techniques aimed at achieving optimal recovery outcomes.
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions in both outpatient and home settings, ensuring adherence to physician recommendations and patient-centered care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to maximize patient outcomes, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams including occupational therapists and physicians.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on proper exercise regimens, injury prevention, and home care strategies to support recovery.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards, including progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Exhibit outstanding customer service and contribute positively to the clinic's work culture.
• Meet and exceed minimum utilization goals and other business objectives set by the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA- or CAPTE-approved program.
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interactions with patients, families, and team members.
• Excellent organizational capabilities and computer proficiency to manage patient data and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is preferred.
• Two (2) years of clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly in outpatient settings, is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong patient relationships, resulting in successful recovery outcomes.
• Current CPR Certification is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
