Bright Star Counseling is seeking a dedicated and licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our team at our remote Detox Center in Paterson, New Jersey. In this full-time role, you will utilize your expertise to provide meaningful support and guidance to clients undergoing detoxification, while helping them navigate the complexities of their recovery journey.

Work Environment\n

This remote position offers flexibility in work hours, allowing you to provide essential services while adapting to the needs of our clients. Although you will primarily work from home, you may occasionally visit our Detox Center to engage directly with clients and interdisciplinary teams. The work schedule includes Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential evening or weekend responsibilities as client needs arise. Flexibility is key, as you will be required to adjust your schedule to ensure continuous client care and may also need to be on-call for urgent situations.

• Monitor clients' progress through regular virtual check-ins or in-person visits to evaluate their living conditions and address any emerging concerns.

• Facilitate effective communication and conflict resolution among family members involved in the client’s care to foster a supportive environment.

• Educate clients and their families about local support groups, community programs, and resources that can enhance their recovery and reintegration into society.

• Maintain meticulous records of client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing substance use disorders, often compounded by mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, or trauma. You will cater to a diverse client population, including individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds and cultural contexts, emphasizing the importance of cultural competence in providing effective support.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

• A minimum of two years of experience in social work, preferably within a substance abuse treatment or detox setting.
