Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a motivated Skilled Trades Recruiter – Inside Sales & Professional for a full-time, fully on-site opportunity in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This position combines recruiting, consultative sales, business development, account management, and candidate relationship management within the skilled-trades and professional staffing space.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Skilled Trades Recruiter manages both sides of the staffing relationship: developing new client business while sourcing, interviewing, and placing qualified candidates. The role requires consistent outbound activity, strong relationship-building ability, excellent follow-up, and the ability to manage multiple clients, candidates, and job orders simultaneously.

The recruiter will focus on skilled-trades and technical positions such as Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Mechanics, Welders, Machinists, CNC Operators, Electronics Technicians, Warehouse Leads, Industrial Electricians, Service Technicians, Quality Technicians, Mechanics, and Machine Repair Technicians.

CLIENT DEVELOPMENT & BUSINESS GROWTH

• Prospect and develop new client partnerships
• Conduct outbound calls to prospective clients
• Schedule and conduct client meetings
• Network within the local business community
• Learn client businesses, operations, and hiring challenges
• Conduct consultative conversations to identify staffing needs
• Develop staffing and recruiting solutions based on client requirements
• Build long-term client relationships
• Generate repeat hiring activity and referrals
• Identify opportunities to expand existing client partnerships
• Maintain an active business-development pipeline
• Track client opportunities and activity within a CRM

RECRUITING & TALENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

• Source skilled-trades and professional candidates
• Conduct candidate interviews and discovery conversations
• Assess candidate experience, technical skills, and career goals
• Match candidates to appropriate client opportunities
• Present qualified candidates to clients
• Maintain communication with candidates throughout the hiring process
• Build strong candidate relationships for recurring client needs
• Maintain an active skilled-trades talent pipeline
• Provide career guidance and consultative support to candidates
• Ensure quality submissions align with client requirements

PLACEMENT & ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

• Coordinate candidate interviews with clients
• Support offer negotiations and acceptance
• Coordinate onboarding activities
• Follow up after placements
• Maintain relationships with both clients and placed candidates
• Identify additional hiring opportunities within existing accounts
• Support repeat business and long-term client retention
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and candidates

EXPERIENCE NOTE: The role is listed with three years of experience, but the actual job description intentionally allows transferable backgrounds. Retail sales, inside sales, account management, recruiting, business development, and other customer-facing sales experience may translate well when the candidate demonstrates strong relationship-building skills, outbound activity, organization, and a goal-oriented mindset.

SKILLED-TRADES EXPERIENCE: Direct skilled-trades recruiting experience is highly valuable but is not written as an absolute must-have in the employer's job description. Candidates with staffing, recruiting, manufacturing hiring, technical recruiting, B2B sales, or another strong transferable background should be evaluated based on their ability to learn technical positions and conduct effective candidate assessments.

SALES REQUIREMENT: This role includes a meaningful business-development component. Candidates must be comfortable prospecting, making outbound calls, following up consistently, building client relationships, and having consultative conversations with employers.

LOCAL REQUIREMENT: This is a fully on-site position in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The territory is local to the Lehigh Valley, generally within approximately 25–30 miles of the office, with no overnight travel.
