Accounts Payable Specialist (Temporary Contract; Immediate Opportunity) Princeton, NJ | Hybrid/On-Site | Temporary Contract Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour A organization is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support its finance team on a temporary contract basis. This role offers a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while supporting key finance operations initiatives. Responsibilities Assist with invoice processing and ensure compliance with established financial policies and procedures Support expense management activities, including audits, accruals, reporting, and end-user support Monitor and manage expense-related mailboxes Support purchase order processes, including setup, maintenance, and user training Assist with corporate credit card administration, maintenance, and issue resolution Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to improve processes and support daily operations Maintain accurate records and support month-end and operational finance activities as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field a plus* 1-3 years of accounting, finance, accounts payable, or finance operations experience Understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and revenue recognition Experience working in a regulated environment such as pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or life sciences preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and stakeholder groups Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is highly preferred Why Consider This Opportunity?
