Our client, a global luxury retail company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its team. This position will support general accounting, bank reconciliations, month-end close, and sales audit activities. The ideal background includes at least two years of corporate accounting experience, a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and advanced Excel proficiency. Candidates with experience in the fashion, beauty, or consumer goods industries are encouraged to apply!

- Contract Role: 2+ months, possibility of extension
- Pay: $36-40/hr W2 (No C2C or 1099)
- Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days onsite, 1 day remote, standard 40-hour work week
- Manage daily cash activity and complete bank reconciliations for U.S. and Canadian entities.
- Partner with accounts payable and accounts receivable to review banking transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Record merchant processing fees, credit card charges, chargebacks, refunds, and corporate card activity.
- Support month-end close through account reconciliations, expense accruals, and journal entries.
- Assist with sales audits, external audits, ERP and banking integration projects, and other accounting initiatives.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Masters's Degree is a plus
- 2+ years of corporate accounting experience with knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
- Prior experience working in the fashion, beauty, or retail industry is preferred
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
- Experience utilizing ERP systems, Navision / MS Dynamics experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
