Exciting Opportunity for a Physician: Hematology & Oncology Program Manager - Sign-On Bonus & EDRP Authorized! Location: Salisbury, NC

Become a part of our dedicated team at the Salisbury VA Healthcare System! We are seeking a full-time Hematology Oncology Program Manager committed to delivering outstanding care to our veterans.

The Hematology/Oncology Program Manager will assist the Section Chief of Hematology and Oncology in managing operations across Salisbury, Charlotte, and Kernersville. Key responsibilities include:

• Serving as the Director for Infusion Services, ensuring the provision of comprehensive infusion services.
• Establishing standardized processes across all locations.
• Overseeing the oncology navigation core to maintain high-quality navigation and effective workload management.
• Acting as the Chief of Hematology and Oncology in the absence of the Section Chief.
• Leading initiatives for quality improvement and supporting administrative functions from the ACOS of Medicine and the Section Chief.
• Providing strategic and operational leadership, managing consult services, supervising trainees, and promoting education and research as a clinician-educator-research faculty member.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
• Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
• Licensure: Candidates must hold a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
• Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty is necessary.
• Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible and eligible for an academic appointment.

Preferred Experience: ABIM board certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology along with fellowship training in adult Hematology & Oncology is highly desirable.

Academic Appointment: Faculty position at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, based on experience.

• Compensation: Competitive salary with an annual performance bonus and regular salary increases.
