Certified Medical Interpreter

We are seeking dedicated and skilled medical interpreter(s) to facilitate effective communication between healthcare providers and patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong multilingual abilities,and have a solid understanding of medical terminology. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive accurate information regarding their medical care while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Provide interpretation services for patients and healthcare professionals in various medical settings, ensuring clear and accurate communication. Translate medical documents and records as needed, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Assist in the documentation review process to ensure that all patient interactions are accurately recorded. Collaborate with social work and child protective services when necessary to support patient needs. Utilize strong communication skills to convey complex medical information in an understandable manner. Maintain professionalism at all times while interacting with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Stay updated on medical terminology and practices to provide the most accurate interpretation services. Requirements Experience in interpretation within a medical context is highly preferred. Familiarity with medical records management and documentation review processes. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey sensitive information effectively. Previous hospital experience or experience working within healthcare settings is advantageous. Knowledge of social work principles or child protective services can enhance service delivery.
