Aerodynamics Expert for AI Model Training [Remote]

Provide advanced aerodynamics and CFD expertise to create, review, and distill technical content used to train next generation AI systems. This contractor role focuses on converting real-world aerodynamic analysis, experimental results, and engineering judgment into clear, high quality training data and technical feedback that improve model reasoning and performance. No prior AI experience is required.

• Analyze and interpret complex aerodynamic problems, producing detailed technical feedback and nuanced explanations for aerospace and mechanical engineering contexts.
• Develop, review, and distill technical documentation on aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, and thermofluids to ensure clarity and precision for varied audiences.
• Contribute to educational and technical materials designed to enhance AI learning and reasoning capabilities.
• Participate in rigorous peer review, providing critical analysis, constructive feedback, and quality assurance on technical content and workflows.
• Collaborate remotely with subject matter experts to align technical standards, optimize workflows, and apply best practices in knowledge distillation.
• Present and discuss experimental and theoretical results, translating findings into actionable knowledge and labeled data for AI development.

• PhD in aerospace or mechanical engineering with specialization in thermofluids or aerodynamics, or a BS in aerospace or mechanical engineering plus at least 8 years in aero specific roles.
• Deep expertise in aerodynamics and computational fluid dynamics, including computational and experimental methods used in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Proven technical writing experience producing reports, articles, or formal documentation, with strong ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Excellent verbal communication skills for explaining nuanced technical concepts to interdisciplinary audiences.
• Demonstrated experience in peer review, technical evaluation, consultancy, or roles requiring critical analysis and workflow optimization.
• Experience working effectively in remote or distributed teams, and interest in applying engineering knowledge to AI training tasks.
