Work Environment

Your role will be situated in a bustling surgical center, where you will be an integral part of a supportive team that includes 5 MDs and 5 Nurse Practitioners. The clinic operates on a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a structured yet dynamic workday that encourages focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations to assess patient health and wellbeing.
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies, to make informed healthcare decisions.
• Diagnose acute and chronic conditions, crafting individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each patient.
• Prescribe medications and therapies, ensuring that all treatment protocols comply with medical regulations and best practices.
• Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation, including treatment histories and follow-up care.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures to promote better health outcomes.
• Oversee the management of patients with ongoing health issues, coordinating with other healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Engage in community health promotions and initiatives that encourage healthy living and disease prevention.
• Contribute to clinical research and continual professional development, staying current with emerging healthcare trends and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse group of patients facing a variety of pain management issues and chronic conditions. Your role is crucial in helping this population navigate their health challenges, ensuring they receive personalized, empathetic care that fosters trust and cooperation.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Valid Texas State Physician Assistant license.
• Certification as a PA-C (Certified Physician Assistant).
• A DEA number for prescribing medications.
• Proven experience in a clinical setting, emphasizing primary care, internal medicine, or related fields.
• Strong communication skills and ethics, complemented by a collaborative team spirit.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and exhibit a patient-centric approach.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing education and clinical experience to enhance practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in acute care or emergency medicine practices is highly desirable.

• Bilingual capabilities are a plus but are not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 120,000 to USD 140,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
