Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver direct individual and group therapy to assigned clients, documenting progress and treatment plans in compliance with agency standards and licensing requirements. Participate in ongoing unit programming and contribute to the training and development of clinical fellows and other team members. Engage in timely communication with team members and attend interdisciplinary meetings to enhance patient recovery outcomes and ensure seamless coordination of care. Collaborate with treatment teams to formulate and review client-specific treatment plans, providing insights and recommendations for effective therapeutic interventions. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as necessary to optimize patient care and outcomes. Patient Population / Client Focus The clients we serve come from a variety of backgrounds and present a wide range of mental health challenges, with a particular focus on mood disorders. Your expertise in evidence-based therapeutic techniques will play a crucial role in helping these individuals as they work towards recovery and improved mental wellness. You will engage with clients empathically, valuing their experiences and fostering a therapeutic alliance that encourages honesty and growth. Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California. Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly for mood disorders, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Ability to understand and work alongside psychopharmacological treatments, collaborating effectively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals. Superior communication skills, with a proven ability to connect with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Preferred Experience Prior experience treating mood disorders, demonstrating a successful track record in achieving positive patient outcomes. Experience in community-focused mental health initiatives and outreach efforts. Comfort with minimal paperwork constraints to enhance client focus and therapy quality.
