Customer Support Specialist

LaSalle Network is partnering with a well-established educational products company to hire a Customer Support Specialist to join their team in Vernon Hills, IL. This is a great opportunity for a customer-focused professional who enjoys interacting with people, solving problems, and working as part of a collaborative team.


The Customer Support Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for visitors, customers, and employees while supporting front desk operations, customer service, order processing, and inventory management. The ideal candidate is positive, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.



What You'll Do

• Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and create a welcoming, professional experience
  
  
• Manage visitor check-in and day-to-day front desk operations
  
  
• Answer and route incoming phone calls
  
  
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
  
  
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, website submissions, and social media
  
  
• Assist customers with orders, product questions, and general inquiries
  
  
• Research and resolve customer concerns and escalated issues
  
  
• Monitor customer portals for orders, shipping notifications, and updates
  
  
• Collaborate with internal teams to support customer and operational needs
  
  
• Assist with facility-related concerns and other administrative needs as needed

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
  
  
• 1-3 years of customer service, reception, front desk, or administrative experience
  
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including basic Excel
  
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
  
• Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
  
  
• High attention to detail and accuracy
  
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and follow-through
  
  
• Positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude
  
  
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment

Position Details

• Compensation: $20.00-$22.00/hour, based on experience
  
  
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
  
  
• Location: Vernon Hills, IL
  
  
• Work Model: 100% onsite
