Psychiatrist Position At Gaylord Hospital

Gaylord Hospital is seeking to hire a full-time psychiatrist to join our team in providing exceptional care to both inpatient and outpatient populations. Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is a health system dedicated exclusively to medical rehabilitation. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing comprehensive psychiatric consultations and care for adolescent through geriatric patients who have experienced a range of complex medical illnesses, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, or other neurologic/medical diseases.
• Managing a diverse caseload of inpatients and outpatients.
• Developing and growing the service on both the inpatient and outpatient side.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and hospital protocols.

Qualifications include:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an approved residency program in psychiatry.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in psychiatry.
• Current Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Experience in acute care and consultation-liaison psychiatry preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practices.
