More about our team The Staffing Pool provides RN coverage across Med/Surg, Neuro/Ortho/Peds, Rehab, and Cardiac units. Staffing Pool RNs are highly adaptable nurses who thrive in dynamic environments and confidently support multiple clinical areas. This role offers a rewarding experience with diverse patient populations and opportunities to strengthen critical thinking and clinical skills. How you'll contribute A Float Pool RN who excels in this role: Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and related medical care. Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assists with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Displays initiative and flexibility to float throughout the building to support departments and staff. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support). Assesses learning needs; provides age- and culture-appropriate patient/family education. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients. Participates in performance improvement and required education; works other shifts/units as needed and may take on-call assignments. Performs other duties as assigned. What we're looking for Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
