Java Solutions Architect (Microservices & Kafka)

Location: Alpharetta, GA (willing to travel to client locations)

Employment Type: Full-Time (W2)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of microservices-based architectures with a focus on event-driven systems using Kafka. This role will drive technical strategies and solutions for complex enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable Java-based microservices systems using Spring Boot and Kafka for event-driven processing.
• Define and implement RESTful APIs and microservices patterns to support distributed applications.
• Lead the integration of Kafka-based event streaming for real-time data flows across microservices.
• Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices for development teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure system performance, resilience, and scalability through rigorous design and validation processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3 years of experience in Java development with a focus on microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Expertise in designing and implementing solutions with Spring Boot, Kafka, and REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of architecture principles, design patterns, and distributed systems.
• Experience leading technical design and architecture for enterprise-grade applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of advanced design patterns like CQRS, Event Sourcing, or Saga for microservices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying microservices and Kafka clusters.
• Experience mentoring teams on architecture best practices and implementation strategies.
