Legal Billing Specialist Location: Chicago, IL Salary: $62,600 – $78,300

Our client is a well-established law firm. They are seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to support their accounting department with client invoicing, ebilling, and revenue operations.

What You'll Be Doing

· Generate and process prebills in accordance with firm procedures and timelines

· Interpret billing instructions and ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and fee agreements

· Prepare and submit invoices, including electronic billing (ebills)

· Maintain billing instructions and client-specific requirements within the accounting system

· Troubleshoot and resolve billing discrepancies using available resources

· Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and internal teams to support billing operations

· Respond to inquiries regarding billing history, time entries, and financial details

· Maintain confidentiality of client and firm information

What You'll Need

· 2+ years of billing or accounting experience

· Experience with electronic billing (ebilling) and LEDES formats preferred

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with attorneys and staff

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

· Experience with Aderant or Surepoint is a plus

· Law firm or professional services experience preferred
