Job Title: Recruiter II

Job Description

The Recruiter II plays a key role in delivering high-volume, full-cycle recruitment support as a recruiting business partner and client lead. This position manages the end-to-end hiring process, including sourcing, interviewing, reference checking, offer management, and new hire orientation, while also handling employee status changes and exit interviews. The role relies on extensive recruiting experience, sound judgment, and a high degree of autonomy and creativity to plan and accomplish hiring goals. The Recruiter II may lead and direct the work of others and typically reports to the head of a unit or department.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for high-volume hiring needs, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection of candidates.
  • Conduct candidate interviews using structured methods to assess qualifications, cultural fit, and long-term potential.
  • Perform reference checks and other pre-employment verifications to ensure quality and compliance in hiring decisions.
  • Prepare, extend, and negotiate employment offers in alignment with organizational guidelines and market expectations.
  • Coordinate and conduct orientation activities for new employees to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Perform exit interviews with departing employees and document feedback to support continuous improvement in talent strategies.
  • Process changes in employee status, including transfers, promotions, and separations, in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Act as a recruiting business partner and client lead, collaborating closely with hiring stakeholders to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Use applicant tracking systems (ATS) and related tools to manage requisitions, candidate pipelines, and recruitment workflow.
  • Apply extensive experience and judgment to plan, prioritize, and accomplish recruitment goals within defined timelines.
  • Lead and direct the work of others on recruitment projects or campaigns when needed, providing guidance and support.
  • Leverage a wide degree of creativity and latitude in sourcing strategies, candidate engagement, and problem-solving to meet challenging hiring demands.
  • Stay familiar with and apply a variety of recruiting concepts, practices, and procedures to improve efficiency and candidate quality.
  • Report on recruiting activities, progress, and outcomes to leadership, offering insights and recommendations for process improvements.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in high-volume, full-cycle recruiting.
  • Demonstrated experience functioning as a recruiting business partner (RBP) and client lead, supporting hiring stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and related recruiting technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume requisition loads while maintaining quality and timeliness in the hiring process.
  • Experience conducting interviews, reference checks, and managing offer processes.
  • Ability to perform exit interviews and process changes in employee status accurately and efficiently.
  • Comfort working with a variety of recruiting concepts, practices, and procedures and applying them in day-to-day work.
  • Capacity to rely on judgment and prior experience to plan and accomplish recruitment goals.
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others on recruiting initiatives when required.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to operate effectively as a client lead.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail in managing candidate pipelines and documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in recruiting or a related area is highly beneficial.
  • Previous experience as a full-cycle Recruiting Business Partner (RBP) or Client Lead is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in environments requiring high-volume hiring and rapid scaling of workforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise a wide degree of creativity and latitude in recruitment strategies.
  • Experience reporting to and collaborating with unit or department leadership on hiring plans and outcomes.

Work Environment

The Recruiter II works in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting environment that requires effective use of applicant tracking systems and other digital tools to manage large candidate pipelines. The role involves frequent collaboration with hiring stakeholders and leadership, often acting as a client lead and recruiting business partner. Work is typically performed in a professional office or hybrid setting, with substantial time spent on computer-based tasks such as sourcing, screening, and documentation. The position offers autonomy in planning and executing recruiting strategies, along with opportunities to lead and direct the work of others on hiring initiatives.

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
