Work Environment This remote position provides you with the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while still being an integral part of our vibrant team. While the standard work hours align with typical business operations, some evening hours may be necessary during peak times. You will leverage telehealth technologies and e-health platforms to effectively engage with patients, ensuring they receive high-quality care while maintaining a strong connection with the multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and screenings to determine patients' specific mental health needs, enabling tailored treatment plans. Provide individualized, short-term counseling and crisis intervention services, addressing immediate psychological challenges and fostering coping strategies. Facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops, covering essential topics such as stress management, coping mechanisms, and personal development. Collaborate extensively with various healthcare professionals, including medical doctors, physiotherapists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive patient care and optimize treatment outcomes. Participate in preventive mental health initiatives, contributing to community outreach and educational campaigns focused on mental health awareness. Maintain up-to-date, confidential patient records in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring the utmost respect for patient privacy. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will be well-versed in addressing a broad spectrum of mental health issues prevalent among patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation. This includes managing anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related concerns. Your empathetic approach will make a significant difference in how our patients experience both physical and mental recovery. Qualifications Must hold an active state license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist. A Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field is required; additional qualifications such as a Master's or Doctoral degree are highly desirable. Strong understanding of mental health challenges faced by individuals in physical rehabilitation and the ability to create supportive care plans. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate trusting relationships with patients and collaborate effectively with diverse medical professionals. Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices and brief therapy models applicable to the counseling center environment. Able to manage a dynamic caseload while thriving in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Preferred Experience Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting, particularly those with honed skills in crisis intervention and group therapy facilitation. Familiarity with telehealth practices and experience working with diverse populations is a plus.
