Location: Charlestown, New Hampshire
The Quality Technician performs inspection and testing activities to verify product quality conformance to customer specifications, drawings, and industry standards in the manufacture of printed circuit boards. This role may support operations within Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI), Final Quality Control, and/or Electrical Testing and is responsible for accurately identifying, documenting, and escalating nonconformances.
Working under established procedures and quality standards, the Quality Technician supports a highly regulated manufacturing environment through detailed inspection, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Job DetailsDuties & Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspection and testing activities across AOI, Final Quality Control, and Electrical Testing in accordance with established procedures and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure product quality conformance to customer specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- Interpret customer requirements, blueprints, work instructions, and acceptance criteria to support accurate inspection outcomes.
- Operate inspection and test equipment, including AOI systems and electrical test equipment, in accordance with established procedures.
- Accurately record inspection results, test data, and quality information within quality systems and databases.
- Complete required quality documentation, including First Article, Lot Conformance, and inspection records.
- Review products for defects, nonconformances, and deviations from requirements and promptly escalate findings to supervision.
- Maintain inspection and test equipment in a clean and orderly condition and report equipment concerns impacting quality or safety.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test methods, and documentation requirements.
- Support quality investigations, audits, and continuous improvement activities as requested.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic understanding of manufacturing inspection, testing, and documentation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret customer specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and acceptance criteria.
- Familiarity with inspection and test equipment used in quality operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Ability to accurately identify and document product defects and nonconformances.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to learn and apply quality standards, inspection methods, and company procedures.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or Vocational Training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Manufacturing, inspection, testing, or quality experience preferred . IPC-A-600 certification a plus.
- Prior experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred .
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
This is a hands-on role in a regulated manufacturing environment, with the majority of time spent on the production floor supporting inspection, testing, and troubleshooting activities. The role also includes routine computer work, documentation, data review, and cross-functional collaboration.
Work requires standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as manual dexterity and the ability to safely operate inspection, test, and standard office equipment. The role requires close visual acuity to perform detailed inspection of printed circuit boards and identify defects in accordance with customer and industry standards. The role may require lifting up to 44 pounds (20 kg).
The work environment may involve exposure to chemicals, fumes, noise, and manufacturing materials. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing, is required in designated areas or when performing specific tasks. Flexibility in schedule, including occasional extended hours, may be necessary to support production demands, audits, or quality investigations.
