Exciting Opportunity for a General Cardiologist

Our organization in Mason City, Iowa, is thrilled to present a fantastic opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible non-invasive General Cardiologist to become a part of our Cardiology department. We are a physician-owned, multi-specialty group dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare.

Opportunity Highlights

• Become a member of a dynamic team consisting of 10 physicians, 10 fellows, and 7 nurse practitioners.
• Participate in a 1:6 call rotation, with the potential for additional call compensation of $500 per day, and fellows will take the first call.
• Engage in a practice that encompasses inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services.
• Offer a comprehensive range of cardiology services, including non-invasive, invasive, interventional, and electrophysiology, in collaboration with cardiac and vascular surgery teams. Proficiency in transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and cardioversions is required.
• Participate in training opportunities through our Cardiology fellowship program, which includes 3 residents per year and an interventional Cardiology Fellowship accepting one candidate annually.
• Explore outreach opportunities at one of our 10 critical access hospitals within our 14-county network.
• Serve a primary service area of approximately 260,000 residents.
• Work at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital.
• Be part of a Level III Trauma Center with a fully staffed emergency department available 24/7, hospitalist services, helicopter access, and state-of-the-art catheterization labs.
• Join a team of dedicated physicians and staff committed to delivering compassionate and effective care for cardiovascular diseases and promoting overall health.

Compensation Package

• Attractive guaranteed base salary of $599,804 per year, plus production incentives (2-year guaranteed base).
• Generous bonus package of $100,000.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible; must achieve board certification within three years of eligibility.
• H1B and J1 visa candidates are encouraged to apply.
• All offers are contingent upon successful completion of references, background checks, pre-employment physicals, and drug screenings.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school.
• Demonstrated competency as a physician through completion of an appropriate residency program.
• Must be eligible for medical staff privileges at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Must hold or be eligible for a physician license in the State of Iowa, along with an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and a Federal DEA Certificate.
