Job Description
Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to provide interpreting services for students within a public school setting in the West Palm Beach area for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting student achievement and collaborating with educational teams to ensure equal access to classroom instruction and school activities.
Requirements
- Must have completed the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) with a score of 3.0 or higher
- Experience working with children or within a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and educational interpreting practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, students, and families
Common Daily Duties
- Provide sign language interpreting services during classroom instruction, school activities, meetings, and related educational settings
- Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
- Support student participation, engagement, and access to educational content throughout the school day
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with school district policies and procedures
