Dispatcher

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily scheduling and dispatch of contractors to various job sites. This role ensures timely, accurate communication of job assignments, locations, and requirements while optimizing efficiency and resource utilization. Union experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch contractors to job sites based on project needs, priorities, and availability
• Communicate clear and accurate job details, including scope of work, location, timelines, and special instructions
• Monitor daily operations and adjust schedules as needed to address delays, changes, or urgent requests
• Maintain ongoing communication with contractors and internal teams to ensure alignment and timely completion of assignments
• Track job progress and update records, schedules, and dispatch logs in real time
• Coordinate equipment and resource allocation to support job requirements
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and respond to issues quickly and effectively
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to dispatch activities

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or coordination roles required
• Experience in construction, field services, or equipment operations preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
