Benefits Analyst – Durham, NC (Hybrid) Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services, advancing diagnostics, accelerating innovation, and supporting healthcare outcomes across the globe. Location: Durham, NC. Hybrid schedule: minimum of three in‑office days per week and must reside within 35 miles of either Durham or Burlington, NC. Job Responsibilities Benefits Administration Serve as subject matter expert for benefit programs Administer health, welfare, retirement, and voluntary benefit programs Support HSA, FSA, commuter, COBRA, and wellness programs Resolve employee benefit inquiries through case‑management tools Partner with HR and internal teams to ensure smooth operations Assist with annual enrollment planning and execution, including testing, communications, and issue tracking Compliance, Audits & Regulatory Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, DOL, ACA, HIPAA regulations Support Form 5500 filings, nondiscrimination testing, and required notices Participate in audits and maintain documentation Support Vendor Risk Assessments (VRAs) Data, Reporting & Analysis Develop and maintain reports and dashboards Perform advanced Excel analysis (pivot tables, reconciliation, trends) Conduct payroll and benefits deduction audits Support benchmarking and survey submissions Drive process and operational improvements HR Technology & Integrations Partner with HR Technology, Payroll, and vendors on integrations and data feeds Troubleshoot integration errors and data discrepancies Support system testing including annual enrollment Identify automation opportunities Vendor Management Support vendor relationships and issue resolution Participate in vendor implementations and renewals Work with consultants and brokers on program delivery Financial & Audit Support Support benefit funding and billing reconciliation Validate enrollment and eligibility accuracy Assist with retirement plan funding and reporting Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or a related field 3 or more years of benefits experience Preferred Qualifications 1+ year experience with Workday or similar HCM systems 1+ year experience with benefits integrations 1+ year experience with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, IRS regulations Job Standards Critical thinking and sound judgment with ability to analyze and resolve problems Highly effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of leadership Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with various internal and external partners High attention to detail Advanced Excel skills Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all of the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
