Regional Account Manager (Southwest)

Sales professional driving new growth in the government market as defined by Abbott sales management. The role focuses on supporting diagnostic testing for the treatment and management of diseases and other conditions in the criminal justice and treatment market. Key Responsibilities Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling and lead generation. Set up meetings with prospects to introduce products and services. Perform prospect and customer needs assessments. Prepare and send quotes and proposals. Coordinate and secure contracts and agreements between new clients and the contracts team. Support new account implementation activities within sales and operations. Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products and services. Attend trade shows and in-person customer visits. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (± 16 years) in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Master's Degree (± 18 years) preferred. Minimum 9 years of related work experience with a complete understanding of the functional area. Comprehensive knowledge and application of business concepts, procedures and practices. Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate complex situations or data. Expertise recognized within the work group and cross-group dependencies. Ability to work within a quality system environment and compliance with governmental regulations. Compensation Base pay: $78,000.00 - $156,000.00 (may vary by location). Location & Travel United States - California (Remote). Additional locations possible. Work shift: Standard. Travel: Yes, 50% of the time. Health and Safety Significant work activities include continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day), driving a personal auto or company vehicle, and keyboard use >= 50% of the workday.
