Sales & Service Manager - Upper East Side New York, New York, United States Role Overview The Sales & Service Manager is a member of the store leadership team responsible for business and guest experience strategy in the store. Passionate about sales targets, guest experience, and talent development, this role ensures an exceptional in‑store experience through proactive support, coaching and consistent operational excellence. Responsibilities Investigate and root cause sales opportunities, partnering with the General Manager to address process or system gaps. Oversee the Sales & Service team to deliver an exceptional guest experience, assessing colleague performance, product knowledge and providing coaching. Build client relationships daily with customers. Ensure effective sales floor coverage through workforce solutions and lead floor initiatives. Partner with the General Manager to develop and execute the store’s Sales & Service strategy. Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls, in partnership with the General Manager. Review, monitor and collaborate on budget, reporting and business data (e.g., expenses, sell‑through) and inform planning processes. Protect optimal performance through future planning of workflow and business needs. Communicate ALO’s mission and guiding principles to guests. Lead accountability, coaching, talent development and communication across Operations and Visual teams. Establish internal and external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment strategy. Write an effective schedule prioritizing business strategy in partnership with the General Manager/Store Manager. Oversee execution of deliverables on the ALO Sales and Service Model, protecting operational efficiency. Collaborate with business partners to support all‑level organizational goals. Qualifications 3‑5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience. Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written. Agile; able to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment. Independent work ethic, strong time‑management and personal accountability. Requires constant movement in and around the store. Ability to lift, push, carry up to 50 pounds; bend, kneel, climb, crawl, twist and safely climb ladders. Ability to stand and move for an entire shift. Eligible for the Monthly Store Incentive bonus program, which may increase total compensation.
