Work Environment

This role is designed for a full-time licensed therapist who will work remotely. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients presenting with mood disorders to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms, ensuring comprehensive understanding of each client's needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate the client's goals, preferences, and evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment modalities, and self-care strategies, equipping them with the knowledge to support their mental health journey.
• Monitor and document client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes and ensure efficacy.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to offer a holistic approach to client care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment, incorporating new strategies into practice to enhance the quality of care.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality in documenting client information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and collaborative practices.
• Actively advocate for mental health awareness within the community, striving to reduce stigma and meet the needs of underserved populations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals suffering from mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, including those facing homelessness, refugees, and victims of domestic violence. Your role is to provide empathetic support and effective therapeutic interventions tailored to their unique circumstances and experiences.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid, active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field is required.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for forming secure and trusting relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences and struggles.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills for effective management of client caseloads and administrative tasks.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience working with clients dealing with mood disorders is preferred.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices.
• Experience advocating for mental health services and participating in community outreach initiatives will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
