Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: ASAP

Location: West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 nights, weekdays and weekends; 13-week contract with possible extension

Highlights:

• 34-bed acute medical-surgical unit serving a diverse patient population with complex care needs
• Patient ratios of 1:5-7 in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Cerner EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Daily census of 25-30 patients with emphasis on evidence-based practice and quality outcomes
• Flexible scheduling with unit accommodation of schedule requests when possible
• Strong team culture balancing experienced and developing nursing professionals

Requirements:

• Active RN license (West Virginia or Compact state license required; pending licenses accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; travel experience not required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (all certifications must be American Heart Association)
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system
• Experience with medical-surgical patient care including post-operative care, wound management, tracheostomy care, chest tubes, and IV therapy
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Reliable attendance required; facility maintains strict attendance expectations
