Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 12 months of permanent Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience License: Permanent Ohio License or Compact State License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (must be obtained prior to start) Must-Have: One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty being applied for Description: All start date, time off, and scheduling information must be accurate and confirmed upon submission. This information cannot be changed once an offer is presented. All requirements listed are non-negotiable. This position is for night shift, with 3 shifts of 12 hours each. Candidates must have 12 months of permanent Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience. A permanent Ohio license or a compact state license is required at the time of submission. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification is required before starting. One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty being applied for is required. Charge RN references are accepted. ECG rhythm recognition test and a safe medication assessment will be completed during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required. Travelers may only be submitted for one job at a time within the organization. Candidates with any background checks will be reviewed but will not be accepted if there is an open case. Candidates are required to be nicotine-free, except for exempt roles. Negative drug screening is required within 12 months of starting, and must be updated annually. Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to organization hospitals for one year from their previous end date. Candidates may extend their contracts for up to 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required. Failure to complete the required annual competencies after one year will result in removal from the schedule. Modules may be billable up to 4 hours annually, subject to specific requirements. Additional time required for pre-start modules is non-billable.
