About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: 12 months of permanent Medical/Surgical/Telemetry experience required License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required Must-Have: - One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for required - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation Description: All requirements listed in the job description are non-negotiable. Night shifts consist of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Must have 12 months of permanent Medical/Surgical/Telemetry experience. A permanent Ohio license or compact state license must be in hand. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to starting. One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required for submission. Charge RN references are accepted. An acceptable score on both ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate is required. Candidates will receive two attempts maximum to pass assessments, otherwise will be canceled. BG hits of any kind are reviewed; open cases will not be accepted. No license hits will be accepted. Nurses are exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements temporarily. All other travelers must be nicotine-free, with a negative 10-panel drug screen required. Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to the facility for one year after their previous end date. Background checks are time-sensitive and must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract. Candidates may extend with the client for a period of 18 months; after that, a six-month break is required. Annual Hands-On Competency requirements must be completed if attended orientation in the prior calendar year. Modules are completed pre-start and annually, and time varies by specialty. Annual modules are billable for up to four hours for those on contract for a continuous year. Modules are recorded accordingly.
