Work Environment

This is a full-time remote position, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while maintaining close collaboration with your colleagues in the community health setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma history and determine the most effective treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies focused on trauma recovery and resilience-building, ensuring that each patient feels heard and supported.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions including, but not limited to, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), adapting methods based on the evolving needs of each patient.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma experiences, develop effective coping mechanisms, and foster overall healing and resilience.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care, sharing insights that promote optimal therapeutic outcomes.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during instances of trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients feel safe and supported in distressing situations.
• Educate patients and their families about the psychological effects of trauma, coping strategies, and available community resources, empowering them on their recovery journey.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, guaranteeing that patient information is securely handled.
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities that enhance your expertise in trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, ensuring a high standard of care is upheld across all patient interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The mental health counseling services at Top Point Mental Health Solutions primarily focus on individuals experiencing trauma-related disorders, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients often come from diverse backgrounds and may face unique challenges, necessitating a tailored approach that considers their individual experiences and cultural contexts.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois is essential.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to counseling are requisite qualities.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications to facilitate efficient client management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly with trauma-focused therapies and interventions, is preferred.
• Substantial knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities, along with experience in evidence-based therapy practices.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and maintain composure in high-stress situations.

Compensation and Benefits

Top Point Mental Health Solutions offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 90,000 to 100,000. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
