Accounting Administrator – Construction Accounting

Location: Pleasant Hill, CA
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm

Full-Time | Onsite | Direct Hire

We are actively seeking an Accounting Administrator to join a respected commercial construction organization with a long-standing reputation for quality work, strong client partnerships, and a team-first culture. In this role, you'll work closely with an experienced accounting team, handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, and document management functions that keep projects moving forward. What You'll Do

• Support day-to-day accounting operations while helping maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Process, review, code, and enter vendor invoices with a high degree of accuracy.
• Assist with accounts payable activities for both operational and project-related expenses.
• Help manage accounts receivable and maintain organized financial records.
• Utilize ProContractor and related accounting systems to enter, verify, and track financial information.
• Monitor invoices and supporting documentation through established approval workflows.
• Organize, scan, and maintain electronic and physical accounting records for efficient retrieval and compliance.
• Track and maintain vendor information, insurance certificates, and other required documentation.
• Provide cross-functional support across A/R, A/P, and date entry for critical accounting processes to ensure continuity during absences or peak workloads.

To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Bring:

• 2+ years of experience in construction accounting administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or related accounting support functions.
• 1-2 years of ProContractor software experience preferred
• Technical savvy, with proficiency in MS Office and strong data entry skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Dependable, proactive, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or a strong track record of equivalent, relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
