Chief of Staff to the CEO

Consumers send back close to a trillion dollars of merchandise every year. Most of the supply chain still writes it off as breakage. ReturnPro treats it as inventory. We are the leader in reverse logistics because we are the only company that owns the entire path a return takes: the SaaS platform that decides an item's best destination the second a customer clicks "return," the transportation network that moves it, the facilities that receive, grade and refurbish it, and the recommerce channels that put it back in a buyer's hands. The result: hundreds of millions of dollars a year put back on the books for some of the largest retailers and manufacturers in the country. None of this existed until our co-founder and CEO, Sender Shamiss, looked at retail's largest write-off and saw a revenue line. He built the platform that proved it. Every competitor now chasing that model is chasing us. He is hiring the person who will sit closest to all of it.

Our CEO built ReturnPro from nothing in one of the most complex corners of supply chain. He now needs someone who can hold the entire picture alongside him, the operations, the financials, the technology and the client relationships, and then clear the path so he spends his time only where he is irreplaceable. Someone who runs toward complexity instead of waiting for a scoped brief. Someone who can take a half-formed idea, walk into a room and represent it. Someone intellectually curious, operationally obsessed and completely trustworthy.

Primary Responsibilities

Be an Extension of the CEO

• Represent the CEO in cross-functional meetings, capturing decisions and driving follow-through so nothing falls through the cracks
• Draft communications, briefings and presentations on the CEO's behalf, translating his thinking into crisp, clear output
• Manage up, across and down: you are the connective tissue between the CEO and the leadership team

Own Accountability Across the Organization

• Build and maintain systems that give the CEO a real-time view of what is on track, what is at risk and what needs his attention
• Run the operating cadence end to end: weekly leadership syncs, quarterly business reviews and board prep
• Identify bottlenecks before they become problems and surface solutions, not just flags

Drive Strategic Projects

• Own special projects end to end, from scoping through execution, across operations, technology, finance and growth
• Build the analyses, models and frameworks the CEO uses to make faster, better decisions
• Interface with clients, vendors and partners at a senior level when needed
• Support M&A diligence, investor communications and strategic planning

Protect the CEO's Time and Focus

• Own the calendar as a strategic instrument, applying judgment about where the CEO's presence moves the needle rather than simply booking time
• Prepare the CEO for every meeting: context, objectives, pre-reads and the three things he needs to walk out knowing
• Filter inbound, manage outbound and absorb the operational noise so the CEO stays in the work only he can do

This role is a masterclass in building and operating a company at scale. You will have a front-row seat to:

• How a CEO thinks through enterprise strategy, capital allocation and competitive positioning
• What it takes to operate multi-facility logistics networks across multiple jurisdictions
• How deals get built, negotiated and closed at the enterprise level
• The operational mechanics of a high-growth company, from P&L management to technology infrastructure

Most people spend a decade accumulating this exposure. You will get it in two.

We are not looking for a great assistant. We are looking for a great operator, early in their career, ready to go all in.

What we require:

• An MBA from a rigorous program, or comparable analytical training. You think structurally about business problems, and financial models and strategic frameworks are tools you reach for, not obstacles you route around.
• Communication that lands. You write and speak clearly, you do not over-engineer your words, you adjust your register for any audience, and you build real relationships with anyone: a Fortune 50 executive, a plant manager on second shift, a candidate we are trying to close.

• Relentless follow-through. In the way people respect, because they know that if you are on it, it gets done.
• Thick skin. You will get direct feedback from executives who will not soften it and do not have time to. You take it, use it and move forward.
• Relentless curiosity about what is happening right now. You read. You know what is moving in AI, in retail, in capital markets and in the industries our customers operate in. When the CEO references something that broke this morning, you already saw it.
• Comfort with ambiguity. You do not need a fully scoped brief to get started. You need enough direction to orient, and then you figure the rest out.
• All in. This role moves at the CEO's pace. Some weeks end at six and some end when the deck is finished at two in the morning. You will travel on short notice and you will be reachable. If that reads as a warning, this is not the job. If it reads as the point, keep going.
• Discretion. You operate at the highest levels of confidentiality.

Strong candidates also bring:

• A real understanding of supply chain, and curiosity about it. Reverse logistics on your resume is not required. Knowing how goods move, where value is created and where it leaks is, and so is finding that genuinely interesting, because you are about to live in it.
• A SaaS or technology background. You are fluent in how software companies get built, and you understand what changes when software has to meet trucks, warehouses and physical inventory. Recommerce, marketplaces and the engineering underneath them are not foreign to you.
• Fluency with the tools. You build in Excel, you can read a dashboard and question the number on it, you pick up whatever stack we put in front of you, and you use AI every day with real opinions about what it is good for and where it wastes your time.

Details

• Location. This role is based on-site at our Miami headquarters. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.
• Travel. Expect regular travel to our facilities across North America and to client sites, often on short notice.
