About the Opportunity

A growing technology and field services organization is building a network of dependable IT professionals to support on-site technology projects throughout the region.

We are looking for technically capable, dependable, and trainable IT professionals with approximately 1–2 years of hands-on experience who are interested in flexible contract and as-needed field support work.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to gain additional real-world experience, work with different technologies and environments, and become part of a growing technical field-services team.

Successful technicians may be considered for additional assignments and expanded responsibilities as the organization grows.

What You'll Do

Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include:

• Provide on-site desktop and technical support
• Troubleshoot Windows and macOS hardware and software issues
• Install, configure, replace, and troubleshoot computers and peripherals
• Perform workstation, monitor, printer, networking, and other IT equipment installations
• Troubleshoot connectivity and basic network issues
• Replace components and perform basic hardware repairs
• Configure laptops, desktops, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, and other peripherals
• Assist with equipment deployment, refresh, relocation, removal, and installation projects
• Follow technical instructions, work orders, and site-specific procedures
• Document completed work accurately
• Communicate professionally with clients, site contacts, and technical teams
• Escalate issues when they fall outside your technical scope
• Travel to client locations throughout the assigned service area

What We're Looking For

Required

• Approximately 1–2 years of hands-on IT or technical support experience
• Strong basic troubleshooting ability
• Comfortable troubleshooting both Windows and macOS
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and peripherals
• Ability to diagnose problems logically and methodically
• Comfortable working independently at client locations
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and site personnel
• Reliable, punctual, and responsive
• Ability to pass required background screening
• Ability to complete a drug screening when required for an assignment
• Authorized to work in the United States

Helpful — But Not Required

• CompTIA A+ or other IT certifications
• Help desk / desktop support experience
• Field technician experience
• Networking experience
• Printer or peripheral troubleshooting
• Experience with Active Directory / Microsoft 365
• Experience with ticketing systems
• Experience with structured cabling or Ethernet
• Experience supporting business or enterprise environments
• Previous experience working through field-services platforms

Work Structure

This is an as-needed contract field support position .

Assignments may vary based on client demand and technician availability. Work may include:

• Single-day assignments
• Short-term projects
• Equipment installations
• Break/fix support
• Desktop support
• Technology deployments
• Hardware replacements
• Site visits
• Project-based field services

There is no guarantee of a specific number of hours or assignments. Technicians who consistently demonstrate strong technical ability, reliability, communication, and customer service may be considered for additional opportunities as our workload expands.

Compensation

Competitive hourly or fixed-rate compensation based on the assignment, technical requirements, location, and duration of the work.

Travel requirements and compensation will be communicated before an assignment is accepted.
