Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description Top 100 Independent Furniture Store Chain with six retail locations along Florida’s west coast is seeking a Senior Accountant for our Corporate headquarters in Sarasota, FL. This position will work closely with the Accounting Manager and Controller, assisting with the month end close process, auditing store deposits, bank reconciliations, sales tax returns, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, AR/AP, and oversee inventory control. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of inventory accounting, including the preparation of recurring and non-recurring accruals, credit card dispute letters, inventory reserves, and coordinating vendor chargeback.
