Weekend Shift Hours: Friday - Sunday 5:00AM - 5:00PM

Pay Rate:

$19.50/hour + $3.00/hour Shift Premium = $22.50/hour (Assembler I)

$20.50/hour + $3.00/hour Shift Premium = $23.50/hour (Assembler II)

Job Summary:

Assembler is responsible for performing assembly work to manufacture products in a cost effective and timely manner while fulfilling quality standards. The Assembler I/II/III will validate material prior to beginning assembly, review work instructions, build product per specifications and within tolerances, complete all clean-up and housekeeping procedures, comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations including wearing all appropriate PPE.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Assembler I: Ability to perform highly repetitive assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Assembler II: High school diploma or equivalent and/or 1 year of complex assembly or related experience
• Assembler III: High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of complex assembly or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Assembler I: High school diploma or equivalent and manufacturing experience, including knowledge of manufacturing processes or related experience
• Assembler II: Experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system
• Assembler III: Experience in root cause problem solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA, etc.), experience effectively training other employees to work instructions/standard work, previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system (Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics)

Essential Duties:

• Uses work instructions drawings, schematics, electronic assembly equipment to perform assembly while complying with safe and effective operation standards of all equipment and tools.
• Resolves problems with assistance from peers or supervisor depending on the level and complexity.
• Assembler II/III: Suggest and implement improvements of existing equipment, designs, and/or processes to improve safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
• Uses initiative and judgment to lead problem solving and implementing appropriate countermeasures.
• Cross trains in multiple assembly areas and flex to other similar departments based on business necessity.
• Provide training frequently to new employees and current employees learning new work areas on work instructions/standard work.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the products they assemble and how it impacts the business.
• Continuous learning of the principles, practices, and processes of their job as changes require and similar jobs.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
