As physiotherapists we are key members of a multidisciplinary team geared to the rehabilitation of patients undergoing surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy in both in and outpatient settings. Ongoing professional training and development is encouraged and supported. Band 6 Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, Part time, 15 hours per week, Chelsea. An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced physiotherapist to join the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will provide assessment and treatment for patients experiencing urinary and faecal incontinence and urgency following cancer treatment. We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist with prior experience in pelvic health physiotherapy and an interest in applying these skills within an oncology setting. You will be supported by senior colleagues, with regular supervision and in‑service training. The Band 6 Pelvic Health Physiotherapist is an active member of a team that provides a high quality; evidence based physiotherapy service for people with cancer. The post holder will provide high quality pelvic health physiotherapy for people of all sexes and genders, predominantly in the outpatient setting. For further information please refer to the job description and personal specification Provide a holistic, advanced, physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with a cancer diagnosis. These patients may present with complex physical, emotional and psychological needs as a result of their cancer diagnosis and its treatment with surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Provide a physiotherapeutic diagnosis, to develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes and make appropriate referrals to other disciplines. Hold responsibility for a defined clinical area and own caseload, working without direct supervision. Access to advice and support from senior physiotherapists is available, clinical work is not routinely evaluated by senior staff. Supervision with a designated physiotherapist takes the form of formal training, reflective practice and clinical reasoning.
