Staff Nurse (BAND 5) - Granard House 3 | The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust Join Our Team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, a world-leading cancer centre, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Band 5 Nurse to join our Granard House 3 team. This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to provide outstanding patient care in a supportive, specialist surgical environment. About Granard House 3 Granard House 3 is a 7-bedded private patient surgical ward specialising in the care of patients undergoing surgery for head and neck cancers. We also care for private patients undergoing a range of other surgical procedures, providing high-quality perioperative and postoperative care tailored to their individual needs. Working on Granard House 3 offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialist surgical oncology skills while delivering compassionate, patient-centred care. Nurses will gain experience caring for patients with altered airways, including tracheostomies and laryngectomies, as well as developing skills in enteral feeding, complex wound management, enhanced recovery after surgery, and the care of acutely unwell surgical patients. To plan, document, deliver and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for patients in a responsible and efficient way, which has been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift To develop a greater awareness and understanding of the needs of patients with cancer and the different treatment modalities administered within the unit. To develop an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of managing a shift with the guidance of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
