Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference in the lives of children while advancing your career as a contract physical therapist supporting school-aged students. This opportunity is based near Poughkeepsie, NY and involves working with both PreK and elementary students in an educational setting. You'll help students achieve their mobility and functional goals so they can succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Your role will begin as soon as possible and is set to continue through June 25th, 2027. Enjoy a standard schedule working 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. This is a wonderful chance to use your specialized skills in a collaborative and supportive school environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in New York
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Comfortable working with both PreK and elementary-aged populations
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to collaborate with educators and families for student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for students with mobility and physical challenges
- Provide direct therapy services on an individual or group basis
- Design and implement interventions tailored to each student’s needs
- Document progress and communicate with educational staff and families
- Contribute to IEP meetings and ongoing student planning
