Qualifications:

• Current and valid Physical Therapy (PT) license in New York State
• Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to adapt therapy plans according to each child’s unique needs within an educational setting
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all students

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group physical therapy services to PreK and school-aged students
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff to support students’ IEP goals
• Monitor and report on therapeutic outcomes, making recommendations for classroom modifications or further interventions as needed
• Support students' improvement in mobility, motor function, participation, and overall independence within the school environment
• Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state documentation requirements
