Our client is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to provide immediate accounting leadership while the company searches for a permanent hire. This role combines day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities with higher-level accounting, project accounting, and financial reporting duties.

Our client is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to provide immediate accounting leadership while the company searches for a permanent hire. This role combines day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities with higher-level accounting, project accounting, and financial reporting duties.

- Highly visible position reporting directly to the President
- Opportunity to oversee both daily accounting operations and project accounting functions
- Broad responsibilities across AP, AR, job costing, financial reporting, and contract administration
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities
- Process monthly operating and material bills while monitoring cash availability
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end schedules
- Review daily bank exceptions and assist with cash management
- Prepare project billings, including AIA G702 and G703 pay applications
- Partner with Project Managers to maintain accurate project financials
- Support payroll tax and payroll-related filings including 941, SUTA, and FUTA
- Assist external CPA with annual financial statements and tax filings
- Coordinate insurance-related requests and compliance documentation
Required:
- 3-5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Construction or project-based accounting experience
- Experience with job costing and AIA billing
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- QuickBooks experience
- Construction contract administration experience
- Experience supporting financial reporting and forecasting
